The Town of Truro is seeking applicants for the position of Part Time Telecommunicator.   This is an on-call, as needed, position.  Responsibilities include receiving emergency and non-emergency calls for Police, Fire and EMS Services, dispatching public safety personnel, providing emergency medical dispatch and pre-arrival instructions,  and other related duties.  Good computer skills and typing skills are required.  Excellent people skills a must.  Certifications in enhanced 911, CJIS operation, APCO Basic Telecommunicator, EMD-APCO, CPR/First responder are a benefit but will train.
